Lough Lively - Strangford Lough and the Ards Peninsula

From the tall ship to the rocky shores this will be a weekend to remember. The Narrows of Strangford Lough really will be alive with events from cruises on a tall ship, a champagne reception, a sailing regatta, the dramatic Air Sea Rescue exercise, sea safaris, exhibitions and workshops. There really will be something for everyone! Celebrate Strangford Lough is a spectacle designed to strengthen people’s connection to the Lough and to attract people to the area for a weekend of entertainment.

The event is the climax of the Turn O’ the Tide project and is managed by the Strangford Lough and Lecale Partnership who have worked with hundreds of groups and individuals from the area to help people enjoy the area’s wonderful natural resources, built heritage and culture. The programme is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, supported by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, Ards Borough Council, Down District Council, the National Trust and the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust.
